In a city like New York there are endless noteworthy works of art and architecture. Many of the world’s notable creatives have work on display, have shaped a piece of the city, or at one point called this city home. It would be overwhelming to account for every substantial work. The works included are those of exceptional quality or significance and undoubtedly numerous works worthy of inclusion will be left out. Some of the most recognizable or heavily tourist sites are excluded, primarily because they need no introduction.
