Completed in 2016 XOCO or 325 West Broadway is a thoughtful and well detailed contemporary take on the tradition SoHo building. The façade features a cast aluminum screen with organic influenced forms. The casts were faced with burlap before the molten metal was poured, scorching the unique texture from the fabric onto the surface. Holes are cut into the balcony slabs to allow vertical gardens to climb from floor to floor. This building stands out among the innumerable buildings erected since the start of the 21st century for it’s unique design, attention to detail, and the ability to both stand out and blend in to it’s historic context.
