Jardim, designed by Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, brings a refreshing sense of calm and warmth to Manhattan’s West Chelsea. Comprising two mid-rise buildings connected by a lush, elevated garden, the project stands out for its emphasis on natural materials and indoor-outdoor harmony. The architecture features a refined palette of concrete, wood, and glass, with wide terraces and sliding panels that blur the boundary between interior living spaces and the landscaped surroundings. Unlike the area's many glass towers, Jardim embraces intimacy and texture, drawing from Weinfeld’s modernist roots and sensitivity to light, space, and nature. The garden, central to the design, acts as a private sanctuary for residents, offering a moment of serenity within the dense urban environment. Through careful attention to detail and proportion, Jardim offers a subtle yet powerful reinterpretation of luxury living—prioritizing comfort, privacy, and a deep connection to the natural world within the city’s ever-evolving landscape.
