The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City is one of the world’s most influential institutions dedicated to modern and contemporary art. Founded in 1929, MoMA houses an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, films, design objects, and media from the late 19th century to today. Iconic works by artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Warhol, and Pollock are featured alongside cutting-edge contemporary pieces. Located in Midtown Manhattan, the museum underwent major renovations in 2019 to expand gallery space and enhance visitor experience. MoMA also offers educational programs, film screenings, and research resources through its library and archives. The main museum building was designed by Yoshio Taniguchi, the museum was later extended into the neighboring 53W53 by Jean Nouvel.
