The Seaside Gallery at Benesse House sits at the water’s edge, using Tadao Ando’s clean concrete forms to frame shifting views of the Seto Inland Sea. Its open, linear layout presents outdoor-friendly works in a setting where waves, light, and architecture blend into a quiet coastal experience. Installed in the gallery are two granite spheres by Walter De Maria titled Seen/Unseen Known/Unknown. The surrounding landscape is dotted with additional works of art.

As you walk the grounds make sure you don't miss the Seaside Gallery and surrounding sculptures. These are great works of art and their placement on the coastline provides an exceptional backdrop.
